Tidworth's biggest event in 2014 !

This was an opportunity to hear massed military bands and military wives choirs.

Among those taking part were:

The Band of the Royal Artillery
The RIFLES Band and Bugles
The RIFLES Waterloo Band
The Royal Logistics Corps Band and Corps of Drums
The Royal Tank Regiment Pipes and Drums
19 Regiment Royal Artillery Pipes and Drums
The Adjutant General's Corps Band
The Southern Jacobites Pipes and Drums
Salisbury Plain Military Wives Choir
Tidworth Military Wives Choir

The main concert took place in the arena with a firework finale, followed by the AGC Contemporary Band taking it into the 'Party in the Park'.  The event ended at 2030hrs.

For those who didn't bring picnics, there were a number of food vendors, including a hog roast, available on the night.

There was a WW1 theme within the musical programme.

It was a super event, with over 5,500 people attending, not only from local communities but from places further afield too, such as Preston, Chesham and Cornwall !

Many thanks to everyone who sent us such positive feedback.  We're hoping to be able to do it again next year, so watch this space !

In the meantime, here are some photographs of the show which have been sent to Drumbeat :
